Cultivating a young musical talent –
Keerthana Sriram, a 14-year-old musical prodigy from Chennai, India, is currently refining her talents at the esteemed KM Music Conservatory led by Dr. A.R. Rahman and Aramian Music Studio led by Hratsjuhi Soprano (Spain, Valencia) alongside her academic pursuits at Sherwood Hall Senior Secondary School, where she is in grade 8.
Keerthana envisions a musical career that not only fulfils her own aspirations but also uplifts aspiring artists, especially children and women.
A Versatile Vocalist –
Under the mentorship of Dr. Adam Greig, Artistic Director at KMMC, Keerthana’s musical journey has been carefully nurtured. Her eclectic musical palette spans Western Classical Opera, Jazz, Rock, Pop, and her Indian roots of Folk, Carnatic, Film, and Hindustani. This versatility is reflected in her contributions to Indian cinema and web series (The Story Of Things), where she has had the privilege of lending her voice to great musicians.
An Orchestra of Praise –
In the year 2023, at the age of 13, Keerthana achieved remarkable success by winning numerous international competitions consecutively. Notably, she graced the stage of the world-renowned Carnegie Hall, delivering an enchanting performance on January 7th 2024, and she is poised to captivate the audience once again on May 25th 2024. She was also invited to give the winner’s speech for WOMCO, the World Online Music Competitions Organisation.
On Feb 17th, 2024 Keerthana won the “Youngest Talent” Special Prize at the 16th Grandi Voci International Competition exclusive for Opera. She was awarded with a Concert at Salzburg along with Masterclasses and a performance in the Magic Flute Opera (Die Zauberflöte by Mozart) for the character Papagena.
A Star Rising –
In 2019, she gained recognition when interviewed by Dr. A.R. Rahman for the AR Super 8 and participated in the inaugural ceremony of a TED Talk show hosted by Shahrukh Khan in Mumbai.
Beyond her vocal prowess, Keerthana delves into music production, composition, and mastering instruments like the Piano, Flute, and Guitar.
Beyond the Stage –
Currently, Keerthana with her dear sister Prarthana Sriram is orchestrating plans to launch the ‘Grand Chennai Symphony Orchestra.’ The orchestra aims to embrace and empower individuals of all ages, providing a global platform for talented musicians to showcase their skills. Keerthana’s journey continues to exemplify dedication and creativity, paving the way for a promising musical career and inspiring others to pursue their passion.
